Lindsey Wander

Lindsey Wander originally attended college to become a Biomedical Engineer. Several domestic and international internships later, she discovered her passion for teaching. For years, Lindsey taught STEM in California’s underserved neighborhoods, where she saw firsthand the gap between students’ needs and available resources. Driven to make a difference, she’s dedicated to providing accessible, quality education that fosters each student’s unique potential. so, in 2011 Lindsey decided to start her tutoring business, WorldWise Tutoring. WWT now employs over 100 tutors in Illinois and Texas, providing tutoring to students of all ages and abilities in all subjects. In 2020, she also founded a nonprofit company called Educate. Radiate. Elevate. Which provides the same high-quality tutoring to underprivileged students in Illinois and Texas – at no cost to their families.

Her mission with both companies is to help students not only improve their grades and scores but to also learn the skills to become confident and independent lifelong learners and grow into competent and conscious leaders. She wants to extend this to the students at Upskill for many of the same reasons! Just because you are an adult doesn’t mean you have access to mentors and bosses who can help you grow and educate you in your career in a way that would grow your knowledge and expand your income. Sometimes we have to do it ourselves. She seeks to empower them with the tools to succeed in school, work, and life – so that they are in a powerful position to direct their own lives.
